Travel buddy to cheap backpacking destinations

From February onwards I would like to go travelling, preferably Europe/Thailand. I currently live in the UK (18) and would like to meet with a travel buddy to travel with as I've never done anything like this before. I currently have nothing booked, but could literally book something tomorrow.

Anyone leaving around this time?
